Master’s Degree

Do you want to be part of highly creative interaction design teams? Do you want to work in an interdisciplinary academic setting? Do you want to envision and exploit innovative uses of new digital technology? Do you want to explore this in a human-centered and socially responsible way?

Then you are at the right place.

The HCI/design master’s program is recognized as one of the best in the nation. It combines fundamental human-computer interaction knowledge with a strong emphasis on design. HCI/d students work closely together as a class throughout the duration of the program (typically two years). This interaction helps foster a strong sense of community and builds life-long relationships. At the same time, students are allowed and encouraged to develop their individual expertise and special competence.

HCI/d students have been highly successful. Our graduates have gone on to work with companies such as Google, Microsoft, PayPal, eBay, Adobe, AutoDesk, and Accenture in the areas of interaction design, user research, user experience, and more. Others have chosen smaller companies or start-ups. Some have started their own businesses or continued their education in one of our Ph.D. programs. As an HCI/d graduate, your options are limitless!

If you want to be among those who will influence and shape the use of future technology, we encourage you to apply for admission.
