For the Master of Security Informatics program, 2009-2010 academic year spring applications are welcome and will be considered.
The Music Informatics program as well as the Chemical Informatics Ph.D. program are also able to accept spring applications under special circumstances.

International students do not send materials to the Office of International Admissions. Send materials directly to the Informatics Graduate Programs Office. Supporting documentation includes transcripts from all universities attended, copy of GRE scores, and copy of TOEFL scores (if applicable). Official score reports should be sent directly to Indiana University electronically (see bulleted points below). Personal statements, resumes, and 3 letters of recommendation can be submitted online with the application. If this is not possible, please send these documents with your supporting documentation.

If you attended Indiana University in the past, you do not need to supply those transcripts. The Graduate Studies Office has direct access. However, all transcripts from other universities must be submitted.

International students need to submit financial support documentation. Please visit the Office of Admissions Expenses page for required amount of support needed and PDF cover sheet.

We require the GRE test of all of our applicants. We have no minimum score requirement. The institution code for reporting your GRE score is 1324, and the department code is 0404.

If your native language is not English, you must submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based test is required. This equates to a 250 on the computer-based test and approximately 100 on the Internet-based test. The TOEFL examination is waived if the applicant has completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in the United States. The institution code for reporting your TOEFL score is 1324, and the department code is 99. We will also accept the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) as a test of English proficiency. A minimum score of 6.5 is required.

Admission decisions will be made after the completion of both domestic and international application deadlines. Students will be informed of the admission committee decisions beginning the middle of March.

Applications received after above dates are considered for admission if the class is not full. Aid may or may not be available after the above dates.
